Jessica Alba signed on to Mike Myers’ latest project
which is named ‘The Love Guru’ for Paramount . As for
Mike, this is his first original character since Austin
Powers.
Jessica, who also stars in upcoming comedy Good Luck
Chuck, has been flexing her comedic chops as of late.
In addition to Chuck with Dane Cook on the way, she
currently has The Ten in theaters with Paul Rudd and
Winona Ryder. Now, she joins Myers in the movie Love
Guru.
Alba recently enjoyed great success with the second
Fantastic Four film opening above $58 million. Several
sources indicate that the Love Guru is bound to be a
massive one. The movie tarts shooting in Toronto in
September this year.
The film is based on a character called Pitka, an
American raised by Indian gurus that Myers developed in
New York and L.A. comedy clubs over the past two years.
Alba plays the owner of a hockey team whose star player
receives counseling from Love Guru Myers to help snap
out of a season-long slump. Also set to appear in the
film is Verne Troyer, aka Mini-Me. s
